Qadianis Avoid Mubahala for 41 Years
Maulana Manzoor Ahmad Chinioti, the preacher of the Finality of Prophethood,
the Conqueror of Rabuwa and a member of the Punjab Assembly, has again renewed
his challenge to Mirza Tahir Ahmad Qadiani, the current head of the Qadiani
cult.
The Challenge
In keeping with the tradition of his grandfather -- the founder of the Qadiani
cult --, Mirza Tahir Qadiani is dared to participate in a religious debate,
in an open area and in the presence of the public, to prove and defend the
claims of his grandfather. However, if Mirza Tahir Qadiani is not confident
enough of the divinity of the Qadiani beliefs to participate in such a debate,
then he is challenged to a
Quranic
Mubahala to ask for the curse
of God almighty on the unbeliever among the participants.
The Truth (comes) from Allah alone; so be not of those who doubt. If any
one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come
to thee, say: "Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons,
our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly
pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!" [The Holy Quran,
Al-i'Imran 3:60-61]
Mirza Tahir Qadiani is at complete liberty to choose any accessible
location on the God’s great earth for this debate -- or Mubahala
-- so that the spectators may witness the divine decision and bring an end
to the day-to-day quarrel once and for all.
Background
In the year 1956, Maulana Chinioti extended a similar challenge to Mirza
Bashiruddin Mahmood Qadiani, the second head of the Qadiani cult and the
father of the present ruler. The correspondence and challenge went on for
a period of seven years to satisfy all the preconditions set forth by Mirza
Mahmood Qadiani. After much unnecessary delay, Maulana Chinioti was officially
nominated by the four great religious organizations of Pakistan (Jamaat
Ulma-e-Islam of Pakistan, Tanzeem Ahle-Sunnat Pakistan,
Jamaat-e-Ishaat-al-Tawheed-ul-Sunnah and All Forum Thahfuz Khathum-e-Nabuwath
Pakistan) to face Mirza Mahmood Qadiani, or any of his nominees, for such
an encounter.
At last, after exhausting every conceivable excuse, the head of the Qadiani
cult agreed to meet for the challenge on 26th of February 1962 (day of
Eid-ul-Fitr) at Chakiyan, Wadi
Aziz, in the middle of the two bridges spanning the Chanab river. However,
on the appointed day, neither Mirza Mahmood Qadiani nor any of his Qadiani
cult members showed for the challenge. Thus, the Almighty God had rendered
his decision and given Muslims another victory.
Maulana Chinioti, who -- after crossing several villages by road -- had reached
the designated location on time, remained at that site until afternoon
(Asr) prayer and offered
his prayer with the congregation of spectators. Thereafter, a cheerful procession
marched in a dignified manner to Chiniot. At that site, evening
(Maqrib) prayers along
with thanksgiving for such an overwhelming and unmistakable victory were
offered.
Since that day, Maulana Chinioti has revisited that particular site on the
26th of February of every year. However, no Qadianis have ever presented
themselves for the debate or Mubahala.
After the death of the Mirza Mahmood Qadiani, the same Mubahala was extended
to his brother and the next ruler of the Qadiani cult, Mirza Nasir Ahmad
Qadiani. This Qadiani leader also refused to participate in a face
to face Mubahala to his last day. The current Qadiani ruler, Mirza
Tahir Ahmad Qadiani, has been challenged to a Mubahala, since his nomination.
Predictably, he has been neither devoted nor courageous enough to accept
such a venue. On July 31, 1994, Maulana Chinioti extended his challenge to
include any city in England -- the site of the current headquarters of the
Qadiani cult.
To date, no Qadiani representative has ever dared to accept Maulana
Chinioti’s Mubahala. Thus, the last debate between Muslims and Qadianis regarding
our fundamental differences remains the Qadiani Mubahala between Maulana
Abdul Haq Ghaznavi (Allah's mercy on him) and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani
(the founder of the Qadiani cult). As the result of this Mubahala, Mirza
Ghulam Qadiani lost his life and -- according to his own statement ("the
liar will die within the lifetime of the challenger") -- was thus judged
by divine court to be a liar and an Impostor.
